Traitement réussi des télangiectasies faciales à l’aide d’un laser 1064 nm à grenat d’aluminium et d’yttrium dopé au néodyme à micro-impulsions

Rose, dermatologie, New York, NY Objectifs : Évaluer la sécurité et l’efficacité d’un laser microseconde à grenat d’aluminium dopé au néodyme et à l’yttrium (Nd:YAG) de 1064 nm pour le traitement des télangiectasies faciales. Méthodes : Des sujets âgés de 35 à 70 ans présentant des types de peau Fitzpatrick I à III et des télangiectasies faciales ont subi deux traitements avec un laser Nd:YAG 1064 nm à micro-impulsion (0,65 ms). Les traitements ont été espacés de 30 jours, avec une évaluation finale 60 jours après le deuxième traitement. L’évaluation comprenait une photographie numérique et une appréciation du degré d’amélioration sur une échelle de 1 à 5 par le sujet et un chercheur non traitant. Résultats : Vingt sujets (18 femmes, 2 hommes) présentant un type de peau Fitzpatrick II et III ont terminé l’étude. Le chercheur non traitant a évalué la réponse clinique objective comme étant une clairance totale (100 % d’élimination) chez 10 % (n = 2) des sujets, une clairance significative ( plus de 50 % d’élimination) chez 75 % (n = 15) et une certaine clairance (0 à 49 % d’élimination) chez 15 % (n = 3). Aucun des sujets n’a été évalué comme n’ayant aucune clairance ou ayant une aggravation. En ce qui concerne la clairance subjective signalée par les sujets, 80 % (n = 16) ont signalé une clairance importante, les autres ayant signalé une certaine clairance. Aucun événement indésirable n’a été signalé. Conclusion : Le Nd:YAG micropulsé à 1064 nm a traité avec succès les télangiectasies faciales avec un degré élevé de satisfaction des patients, une gêne minimale et aucun effet indésirable.
