Advancing Laser Therapies for Skin of Color Patients
Dr. Alexis provides insights into devices and introduces innovative treatments like Reverse by Aerolase, marking a new era in dermatologic care.
Populations with skin of color make up approximately 40% of the US population today and are projected to reach at least 50% of the US population in the next few decades. However, educational and treatment gaps remain for aesthetic dermatologic concerns in skin of color, especially about the use of lasers. Advances in laser technology and aesthetic techniques have broadened the range of safe and effective treatment options for patients with skin of color. Dr. Andrew Alexis will review past and present devices for skin of color and discuss new treatment opportunities such as Reverse by Aerolase.
